The Metropolitan State University of Denver Center for Teaching, Learning and Design (CTLD) provides professional learning resources, activities, and support, designed to help all faculty flourish as teachers, scholars, and colleagues. The Advisory Council to the Center for Teaching, Learning and Design is the primary sounding board for the work we do. The CTLD relies upon the expertise and insights of the Advisory Council members.

Strengthen the academic climate by raising awareness of current developments in teaching and learning, research and scholarly publishing, and leadership and service.
Foster inclusive cross-disciplinary collaboration by facilitating the sharing of resources, skills, and knowledge across programs and partnering with other professional units.
Promote, sustain, and support state-of-the-art teaching and learning initiatives at the institutional level.
Support the development of early career faculty professionals and their integration and inclusiveness into the campus community.
